Hi, my name is Julie Lopez, founder and CEO of IAO. When I started IAO seven years ago, I never imagined it would be this big. I guess I didn't really understand how many parents were in need. The biggest need we have is that we need people to come to us. We are extremely busy; we have to work or go to school, take care of the house and in some cases, do all three. Reaching parents through schools and the community is critical.

Parents that know what to do, how to do it, where to go, and whom to call don't need help. It's those parents that don't know where to go or who to call that need the help. The parents that don't understand that it's the squeaky wheel that gets the help and attention. Not everyone has the skills to be a squeaky wheel; that is where we can help.

Thankfully, I worked in retail for 17 years before starting my non-profit and managed a few locations, so I learned a few things. Your donation helps me reach those parents that desperately need help getting the resources their children need to live productive, independent, and happy lives.
